Episode 60 - 3 things that are taking away your inner peace today!
In the second instalment of the Inner peace series,
I am going to talk about 3 things that steal your inner peace
- Control - Your need to control everything, everyone, every outcome and all the outside events which you have no control over is the no 1 thing that steals your peace. Because the more you lose control the more panic, fear and anxiety you experience. When you let go of the need to control you will feel so much better and you will reduce the overwhelm you might be feeling as well.
- Complaining (not being in gratitude)- focusing our attention on the wrong thing Most people fall into this trap because they constantly compare themselves to people who -seemingly- have more or do more than them. There will always be people who are better off than you are in every area of your life, but there are also people who are not as fortunate as you are. The amount of inner peace you have will be directly proportional to where you focus your attention. When you focus on the lack, what you don't have, how bad you feel, how behind you might be and constantly complain about lack, then that is inevitable you will feel more. Try focusing your attention on being grateful for something you have today and see how that makes you feel instead.
- Attachment- As Buddha said, Attachment is the greatest form of suffering. Imagine how you feel when you lose something or someone you love so much or you are dependent on. This causes suffering. But attachment to how certain things are done, and how they need to manifest in our current reality is also the biggest form of suffering. In fact, most people don't get what they want mostly because they are too busy thinking it is not going to happen, because they don't know all the steps to get there. What if you stopped worrying about how to get there and start focusing on what you want and why... You will find that you will feel so much better internally and what you want will manifest so much more easily.
If you are serious about attracting what you want in life, make gratitude a part of your daily routine and watch amazing things happen...
